Anita Savoie Robichaud

North Representative

Anita Savoie Robichaud has had a long career as a school psychologist. She holds a Master's degree in psychology and a Certificate VI in teaching from the Université de Moncton. Her community involvement continued throughout her professional career, but also continued after her retirement.  She has been - and still is - very active in the implementation and maintenance of quality services in her community.  In 2020, she completed two terms as mayor of Shippagan (first woman to be mayor of her municipality after 67 years of incorporation).  She is currently the Chair of the Municipal Library Commission, and is also on the Board of Directors of the Foyer Le Gouvernail/Maison T.E.D., the Salon du livre de la PA à Shippagan and the Association des anciennes et anciens de l’UMCS. A member of the Dames d'Acadie since its inception in her community, she believes strongly in the place of women in all spheres of society and in the importance of pay equity in a fair and inclusive world.
