The New Brunswick Coalition for Pay Equity is recruiting a research analyst. The Coalition is a group of individuals and organizations advocating for the right to pay equity and fair working conditions for women.
Overview
The project leader will report to the Executive Director and work with other Coalition staff members and partners from non-profit organizations (NPO). The successful candidate will develop analysis, surveys, briefs, reports as well as educational and advocacy tools on fair and equitable wages and working conditions, especially for the New Brunswick non-profit sector. The research analyst will also contribute to the Coalition’s collective activities.
Research and analysis
- Consult and survey staff and managers of non-profit organizations to better understand their needs and challenges.
- Identify and evaluate human resources tools, policies, legislation and approaches to ensuring fair and equitable pay and working conditions, particularly in the non-profit sector.
Education and advocacy
- Produce resources on best practices and policies to ensure fair and equitable wages and working conditions in the nonprofit sector.
Administration and organizational support
- Collaborate in the Coalition's collective activities and perform the administrative tasks required to ensure the smooth running of the organization.
Qualifications
Requirements
- Bachelor or masters’ degree in a relevant field: business administration with specialization in human resources management, labour relations, law, sociology, women and gender studies, or other related fields
- Excellent research and analytical skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in both official languages
- Organizational skills, initiative and autonomy
- Ability to work in teams and in partnership
Candidate profile / Assets
- Knowledge of the New Brunswick non-profit sector
- Knowledge of women’s issues and gender issues in the labour market
- Knowledge of human resources management
Working conditions
- 10-month contract, until August 15, 2025, with possibility of renewal
- 35 hours per week
- Salary from $25.50 to $29.61, depending on training and experience
- The equivalent of 3 weeks vacations and 10 days of paid sick days per year (prorated)
- Office located at 236 St. George Street, Moncton
- Flexible working hours, but occasional evening and week-end work
- Occasional travel within the province
