Raphaëlle Valay-Nadeau was born and raised in an activist family. Attending rallies, fighting injustice, and striving to create a feminist and just world for all is part of her essence. She has worked and campaigned with community organizations in Acadia, Quebec, and abroad. She was a founding member of the Regroupement Féministe du Nouveau Brunswick and served as its Chair. She is a mother, friend, daughter, sister, social justice fighter, union organizer, and an Acadian. Since 2015, she has worked as a union consultant with the Public Service Alliance of Canada, where she supports local members in negotiating and enforcing their working conditions.
