Isabelle McKee-Allain had a long career at the Université de Moncton as an associate professor in the Sociology department and as the Dean of the faculty of Arts and Social Sciences. She holds a Ph.D. in Sociology from the Université of Montréal. She dedicated herself to feminist studies as much in her teachings than in her research. She is an author and co-author of more than forty publications and has been a member of the Editorial Board of the journal Recherches Feministes for 12 years. She has been a regional representant of the Canadian Research Institute for the Advancement of Women (CRIAW) and a member of many Boards of social equality and justice. She sat on the Board of Directors of the Salon du livre de Dieppe for 9 years and is presently on the Board of the Fondation du théâtre l’Escaouette and the scholarship committee of he Fondation Marichette. She is entering her third mandate as vice-chair of the Coalition, in addition to her engagement in the fundraising committee during the annual campaigns.
